Coaching skill & plans
FitRepo stores two kinds of coaching documents alongside your ride data:
- A skill — instructions for how Claude should coach you.
- Plans — training plans Claude builds with you and saves.
Both are plain markdown, every version is kept, and you can download, edit, share or replace them. They’re yours, like your FIT files.
How Claude uses them
Section titled “How Claude uses them”Claude only loads your coaching documents when the conversation needs them — when you ask it to plan, review or adjust training, or to follow your coaching style. A question like “how was my ride today?” doesn’t load them at all, so casual chats stay quick.
Everyone starts on FitRepo’s Coach skill. It’s casual by default: it answers what you ask about your rides and only coaches or builds a plan when you ask it to.
When Claude builds a plan with you, it saves it to FitRepo and makes it your active plan. Ask “load my current plan — what’s this week?” any time.
The Coaching page
Section titled “The Coaching page”Open Coaching to see and manage your documents.
- Active — the skill and plan currently in use.
- Skills / Plans — every document and its version history. Each version can be copied, downloaded as
.md, made active, or deleted (your own documents only). - Upload — add a
.mdfile as a skill or plan: your own, an edited download, or one a friend shared. Uploading a new version of an existing document keeps the old ones.
One skill and one plan are active at a time.
Customising the Coach skill
Section titled “Customising the Coach skill”- Download the Coach skill from the Coaching page.
- Edit it in any text editor.
- Upload it as a skill with Make active ticked.
Your copy is marked Yours and based on the version you downloaded. When FitRepo releases a newer Coach skill, your copy is never overwritten — the Coaching page shows a notice, and Claude may offer to review what changed. Use default switches back to FitRepo’s latest version at any time.
Sharing
Section titled “Sharing”Download a skill or plan and send the .md file. The other person uploads it on their Coaching page.
